Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee and monitor supervisors and team members, providing regular status reports and coaching to drive performance
• Develop and implement action plans and key metrics to meet departmental goals and improve patient access outcomes
• Champion an outstanding patient experience by enforcing scripting and service excellence standards and resolving escalated calls
• Recruit, onboard, train, and coach contact center staff to build a high-performing team
• Resolve conflicts between agents, physician practices, and patients while ensuring adherence to best practices and access goals
• Coordinate operational workflows with provider offices and internal departments to remove barriers and improve efficiency
• Serve as a technical resource for patient access applications and collaborate with IS to optimize systems and workflows
• Conduct quality assurance through call listening and audits, track KPIs (speed to answer, abandoned calls, AHT, errors), and report monthly to leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (required)
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership/management role (required); healthcare/revenue cycle experience preferred
• Preferred: 5 years of healthcare supervisory/management experience in call centers, patient access, or revenue cycle
• Experience managing both remote and on-site staff is a plus
• Familiarity with registration, insurance verification, prior authorization, financial clearance, counseling, and payment collections
• Preferred credentials: Certified Healthcare Access Manager or Certified Patients Account Manager
• Strong conflict-resolution, coaching, and performance-management skills

Education

• Bachelor's degree (required)
• Master's degree (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep knowledge of patient access functions and revenue cycle processes
• Skilled in call center management and workforce/scheduling oversight
• Ability to define and track performance metrics and run quality assurance
• Comfortable with healthcare IT systems and submitting/triaging IS tickets
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder relationship-building skills
• Experience with regulatory compliance and standardized operational procedures
