Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently
• Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation following protocols
• Evaluate quality control and troubleshoot assay issues to ensure reliable results
• Process and handle patient specimens with attention to proper labeling and chain of custody
• Document results and communicate critical findings to the clinical team in a timely way
• Contribute to a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in the lab

Qualifications

• Current MLS or MLT certification (MLS/MLT) as required by the role
• Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience
• Familiarity with laboratory safety, quality control, and regulatory requirements
• State licensure if required by the facility (obtainable prior to start as needed)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently during night shifts

Education

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field; MLS degree preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of routine clinical laboratory procedures across hematology, chemistry, and microbiology
• Experience with laboratory instrumentation, calibration, and maintenance
• Ability to perform quality control, follow SOPs, and document results accurately
• Good specimen handling, processing, and troubleshooting skills
• Clear communication with clinicians and laboratory team members
