Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked for efficient patient flow
• Greet patients, collect vitals, and document clinical information accurately
• Assist providers during exams and minor procedures with professionalism
• Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and routine clinical tasks
• Administer injections and medications per provider orders and protocol
• Educate patients on treatments, follow-up care, and clinic resources
• Maintain a clean, safe, and HIPAA-compliant clinical environment
• Participate in orientation and training to support consistency of care

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (or equivalent MA credential)
• BLS/CPR certification required or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Previous ambulatory clinic experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads welcome
• Comfortable with injections, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and adapt to varying schedules

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical Assistant certificate, diploma, or related clinical training preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic clinical documentation
• Skill in taking accurate vital signs and basic clinical measurements
• Experience with specimen collection and point-of-care testing
• Solid understanding of infection control and HIPAA privacy rules
• Good multitasking, time management, and patient communication skills
• Team-oriented mindset and ability to follow clinical protocols
