Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric clinic patients following established standards and within LPN scope of practice.
Serve as the primary liaison between patients, staff, and providers to ensure clear communication and coordinated care.
Take and document vital signs and assess patient condition to support timely triage decisions.
Triage patient phone calls, identify urgent needs, and escalate appropriately to providers or RN support.
Manage prescription refills and complete prior authorization paperwork to keep families’ medications on schedule.
Support and give direction to CNAs and schedulers to maintain smooth clinic operations and patient flow.
Collaborate with providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors, and RNs to deliver team-based care.
Contribute to a positive clinic environment by assisting co-workers and supporting daily clinical duties.

Qualifications

Current State LPN license (must be active and in good standing).
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from an accredited program.
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program.
Comfortable with pediatric patient care, triage, medication management, and prior authorization processes.
Experience directing CNAs and working with clinic schedulers; strong teamwork and communication skills.

Education

Graduate of a Nursing Program (LPN/Licensed Practical Nurse program).

Knowledge & Skills

Pediatric nursing fundamentals and patient-centered care.
Vital signs assessment and documentation.
Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
Medication management and prescription refill workflows.
Prior authorization completion and administrative follow-through.
Ability to supervise/support CNAs and coordinate with schedulers and providers.
Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication with families and interdisciplinary teams.
