Roles & Responsibilities

Provide hands-on nursing care for walk-in clinic patients following established standards and within scope of LPN licensure
Take and record vital signs, perform triage of patient calls, and assess immediate patient needs
Manage prescription refills and complete necessary prior authorizations accurately and promptly
Serve as a primary liaison between patients, clinical staff, and providers to ensure coordinated care
Direct and provide guidance to CNAs and Schedulers to support smooth clinic operations
Collaborate with providers, coordinators, clinical managers/supervisors, and RNs as part of the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

Current State LPN license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Graduate of a Nursing Program
Ability to triage patient calls, manage prescription refills, and handle prior authorizations
Comfort supervising CNAs and providing direction to administrative staff
Willingness to meet continuing education requirements as dictated by state/federal licensure

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (LPN diploma or equivalent)
Ongoing compliance with state/federal continuing education requirements

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in taking and interpreting vital signs
Skilled in triage and patient communication
Knowledgeable in prescription refill workflows and prior authorization processes
Strong teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
Clear communication with patients and clinical team, and ability to follow provider direction
