Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Pine Point Center
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments safely and per policy
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and follow individualized care plans
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges with professionalism
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergency situations

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license (eligible to practice in Maine)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification current or willingness to obtain
• Comfort working overnight shifts and in long-term care or similar settings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with patients, families, and team members
• Professional attitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality care

Education

• LPN: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program
• RN: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation
• Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Safe infection control practices and patient safety focus
• Electronic charting proficiency and accurate record keeping
• Calm decision-making in urgent or changing situations
