Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care consistent with LPN scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform focused patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Document patient care, observations, and interventions clearly in the medical record
• Collaborate with RNs and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and adhere to facility policies and procedures
• Support smooth shift handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential — active and in good standing
• Eligibility to work in Georgia and meet any facility-specific credentialing requirements
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Comfortable working 12.5-hour clinical shifts in an acute care hospital setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Reliable, patient-focused, and committed to safe, high-quality care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program (LPN diploma or certificate)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
• Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
• Accurate charting and familiarity with electronic health records
• Infection prevention and control practices
• Time management and prioritization in fast-paced environments
• Teamwork, adaptability, and professional communication
