Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, days or nights, every other weekend, holidays as needed

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to laboring and postpartum patients in our LDRP unit
Monitor and titrate drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, and Procardia
Support breastfeeding and patient education for new families
Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team
Maintain high patient experience scores in a Blue Distinction+ facility
Participate in orientation and pass open-book skills exam

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience required
Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
Driver's license required at submittal
Must be willing to comply with artificial nail policy

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in obstetric and postpartum care
Ability to titrate IV medications (Pitocin, Mag, Procardia)
Strong patient assessment and communication skills
Comfortable with 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio for laboring patients
Knowledge of AWHONN guidelines
