Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all Plant Operations, Environmental Services and Grounds functions to ensure safe, reliable facility operations
• Direct and mentor a team of approximately 45 FTEs, setting clear expectations and developing role-specific training
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure equipment and systems meet operational standards
• Coordinate and ensure contractor compliance with hospital policies and all applicable regulatory agencies
• Develop and implement action plans in collaboration with other departments to meet facility needs
• Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS and local building and fire codes
• Inspect machines and equipment, diagnose issues and coordinate timely repairs to minimize operational disruption
• Champion customer service expectations for facilities staff and respond to employee and customer concerns professionally and promptly

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
• Minimum 5+ years of personnel management experience
• Proven experience supervising multi-discipline facilities or plant operations teams
• Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to detect and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems
• Willingness to relocate to a rural community (required)
• Strong leadership, communication and interdepartmental collaboration skills
• Experience ensuring compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA and CMS preferred

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
