Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all Plant Operations, Environmental Services and Grounds functions to ensure safe, reliable facility operations
- Direct and mentor a team of approximately 45 FTEs, setting clear expectations and developing role-specific training
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ensure equipment and systems meet operational standards
- Coordinate and ensure contractor compliance with hospital policies and all applicable regulatory agencies
- Develop and implement action plans in collaboration with other departments to meet facility needs
- Ensure compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA, CMS and local building and fire codes
- Inspect machines and equipment, diagnose issues and coordinate timely repairs to minimize operational disruption
- Champion customer service expectations for facilities staff and respond to employee and customer concerns professionally and promptly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 5+ years of personnel management experience
- Proven experience supervising multi-discipline facilities or plant operations teams
- Demonstrated ability to apply engineering principles to detect and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems
- Willingness to relocate to a rural community (required)
- Strong leadership, communication and interdepartmental collaboration skills
- Experience ensuring compliance with NFPA, OSHA, EPA and CMS preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred
