Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation
• Apply radiation protection principles and exercise professional judgment in procedures
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment and run automatic injector for contrast studies
• Adjust contrast protocols based on patient age and clinical need
• Assist with interventional procedures and prepare sterile fields when required
• Transmit studies via teleradiology and maintain accurate patient records
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and daily/weekly QC tasks
• Transfer patients safely to and from radiology and provide age-appropriate care
• Assist with supply inventory and ordering, and perform ancillary duties as assigned
• Rotate shifts, take call as needed, and support department operations in the absence of a supervisor

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency to be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform diagnostic exams related to assigned modality (CT/X-ray) and willing to cross-train in other modalities
• Familiarity with CT interventional procedures, sterile technique, and teleradiology transmission
• Able and willing to take call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Strong patient assessment, communication, and customer service skills

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiographic examination and diagnostic medical radiography
• Patient assessment and age-appropriate patient care (neonate through geriatric)
• Radiation protection and departmental quality assurance
• Contrast administration and operation of automatic injectors
• CT interventional support and sterile technique
• Teleradiology transmission and record maintenance
• Venipuncture, patient transfer, and supply inventory management
• Ability to learn and maintain competency in multiple imaging modalities
