Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations across a range of patient ages and body parts for accurate interpretation
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, set up and run automatic injectors, and adjust contrast protocols as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with department policies and radiation protection standards
• Lead and participate in departmental quality assurance tasks and daily/weekly QC checks
• Assist with interventional procedures and sterile technique; support venipuncture and contrast administration
• Transmit studies competently via teleradiology systems and consult with referring physicians as required
• Support inventory, supply ordering, and equipment care to keep the department running smoothly
• Rotate shifts, cover on-call duties, and step into supervisory duties in the absence of a supervisor

Qualifications

• Current ARRT in Radiography required
• Clinical competency must be achieved within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modalities (CT and X-ray required)
• Willingness to be on-call and report to work within 20 minutes
• Comfortable working across multiple imaging modalities and learning new modalities as needed
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with patients of all ages and cultural backgrounds

Education

• Current ARRT (Radiography) certification required
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire; ongoing competency every three years

Knowledge & Skills

• Radiation protection principles and safe radiographic technique
• CT and X-ray imaging protocols, contrast administration, and automatic injector operation
• Tele-radiology transmission and digital imaging workflows
• Sterile technique and assisting with invasive/interventional procedures
• Venipuncture skills and age-specific protocol adjustments
• Quality assurance, equipment care, and record maintenance
