Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct resident care and support daily living activities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Document care activities clearly and timely in the resident chart
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the care team
- Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents
- Participate in care planning and team huddles to improve outcomes
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — Pennsylvania certification preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings (TB, immunizations)
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a team
- Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong resident-care and ADL assistance skills
- Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Teamwork, time management, and situational awareness
- Familiarity with electronic charting or readiness to learn
