Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injuries
• Support residents with activities of daily living while preserving dignity and independence
• Follow care plans and document care accurately and timely
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other care team members to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Comfortable working in long-term care or similar healthcare settings
• Clear background check and ability to meet facility screening requirements
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow facility policies and procedures

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
• Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Ability to observe, record, and report patient observations accurately
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks during shifts
• Basic charting and documentation skills
