Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
• Support patient comfort and dignity through attentive, respectful interactions
• Document care activities clearly and promptly in the facility record
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies consistently
• Communicate effectively with nurses, therapy staff, patients, and families to support coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification, ideally in Pennsylvania
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Compassionate, reliable, and able to work independently on per diem shifts
• Previous experience in long-term care or clinical settings is a plus, new CNAs are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient-centered care skills and knowledge of ADLs
• Basic clinical skills including vital signs and infection control
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• Comfortable with basic documentation and electronic charting
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
