Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents/patients—assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility to maintain dignity and comfort
- Maintain clean, safe environments and follow infection prevention protocols
- Document care provided in charts or electronic records in a timely manner
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to support patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Prior hands-on patient care experience preferred but new CNAs are welcome
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required facility onboarding
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- State-approved CNA training program completion and current CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable with personal care tasks and resident/patient interactions
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and recognize changes
- Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic charting/documentation skills and attention to detail
- Reliable time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
