Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
- Support safe and clean patient environments by following infection control protocols
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident’s needs and preferences are honored
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Ability to perform physical aspects of the role, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an approved CNA training program and valid CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing care and infection control practices
- Familiarity with charting and care documentation
- Ability to follow care plans and physician/nurse directions
- Good interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and families
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced healthcare setting
