Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility
Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
Assist nursing staff with clinical tasks and follow care plans
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control practices
Document patient interactions and observations clearly in charts or EMR
Support patients’ emotional needs with respect and empathy
Collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care

Qualifications

Valid CNA certification in Connecticut (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or required depending on facility)
Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and safe patient handling
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Prior experience in long-term care or similar settings preferred

Education

High school diploma or GED (preferred)
State-approved CNA training program completion and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing assistant duties and infection control
Skill in taking vitals, assisting with ADLs, and observing/reporting patient changes
Familiarity with patient charting and basic EMR navigation (preferred)
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively
Attention to detail and strong time-management abilities
