Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with daily living activities
Assist nursing staff with patient comfort, mobility, and basic clinical tasks
Monitor and report changes in resident condition promptly to the care team
Maintain accurate documentation and follow care plans with attention to detail
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and safety protocols
Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful communication

Qualifications

Current CNA certification in the state of Connecticut (required)
Demonstrated experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Up-to-date immunizations and ability to pass background and health screenings
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach to care

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in ADLs (activities of daily living) assistance and basic patient care
Knowledge of infection control practices and safety procedures
Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
Good communication skills for working with residents, families, and the care team
Able to prioritize tasks and respond calmly in fast-paced situations
