Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any concerns to nursing staff
- Support patient mobility safely, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and team members
- Assist with feeding, bathing, dressing, and toileting as needed
- Document care accurately and promptly in accordance with facility policies
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state certification preferred)
- High school diploma or GED recommended
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality patient care
Education
- CNA certification (required)
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of patient care and activities of daily living
- Basic vital signs measurement and recognition of changes in condition
- Infection control procedures and safe hygiene practices
- Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Charting and documentation basics
- Teamwork and effective communication in a clinical setting
