Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding as needed
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Support mobility, positioning, and fall prevention measures for residents
• Document care and resident observations clearly and timely in charts or electronic records
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver resident-centered care
• Demonstrate respect, patience, and empathy while interacting with residents and families

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in Pennsylvania (must be active and in good standing)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by facility
• Up-to-date immunizations per facility policy
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work varied per diem shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Infection prevention and safe handling procedures
• Safe resident transfer and mobility assistance
• Accurate documentation and charting practices
• Teamwork, communication, and time management in a clinical setting
