Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic bedside care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe and dignified patient transfers and mobility, following facility protocols
• Assist with meal setup and feeding as needed, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate clearly during shift handoffs
• Help create a welcoming, respectful environment for residents and families

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification valid in Pennsylvania
• Comfortable providing hands-on patient care and lifting/assisting patients safely
• Willingness to complete facility-required onboarding and any background checks
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or completed upon hire if required by facility

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed state-approved CNA training program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care, hygiene, and infection control practices
• Ability to take and accurately record vital signs and observe patient status
• Skills in safe patient handling and basic mobility assistance
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and the care team
• Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
