Contract Type: Per-Diem

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide attentive direct resident care with compassion and respect
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
Take and record vital signs, observing and reporting any changes
Support mobility and safe transfers, using proper body mechanics
Communicate clearly with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure continuity of care
Maintain clean, safe resident environments and follow infection control practices
Document care activities accurately and timely in resident records
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families to enhance comfort and wellbeing

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required)
Active authorization to practice as a CNA in Pennsylvania
CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain it promptly
Current immunizations and ability to pass required health screenings
Background check and drug screening clearance
Comfortable assisting with resident lifts and transfers; ability to stand for shifts
Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus; new CNAs welcome

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Strong resident-centered care and communication skills
Familiarity with activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic nursing tasks
Good observational skills to notice subtle changes in condition
Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
Team player mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced care setting
Basic infection prevention and control practices
