Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate bedside care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Perform vital signs checks, documentation, and routine observations accurately
Assist nursing staff with transfers, mobility, and personal care while prioritizing safety
Maintain a clean, comfortable environment and follow infection control practices
Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (state certification required; Pennsylvania certification preferred)
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
Ability to pass required background checks and immunization screenings
Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus but not always required

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic nursing care procedures and resident safety practices
Ability to accurately document care and follow care plans
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on a team
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
Comfort with lifting/assisting residents and using mobility equipment
