Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (days vary), 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (day shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
Monitor and record vital signs and report any concerning changes to the nursing team
Support safe mobility and positioning to prevent falls and promote comfort
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of care and observations
Help keep patient rooms and care areas clean, organized, and stocked
Communicate effectively with nurses, therapists, patients, and families to support coordinated care

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active, unrestricted CNA license in New Mexico or eligible to obtain state certification
Reliable, punctual, and able to manage 12+ hour day shifts
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Pass required background checks and immunization/health screenings per facility policy

Education

Completion of an approved CNA training program; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on patient care and safe transfer techniques
Monitoring and documenting vital signs accurately
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Infection control and safe hygiene practices
Time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
Compassionate bedside manner and respect for patient dignity
