Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents at Harbor Hill Center
• Assess, monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, discharge instructions, and follow-up
• Respond promptly to changes in condition and participate in emergency response
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic and paper charting in accordance with facility policy
• Support safe transitions of care and thorough handoffs between shifts

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in good standing (RN preferred; Maine licensure strongly encouraged)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Clinical experience in med-surg, long-term care, or similar settings is a plus
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teammates
• Ability to provide compassionate care and handle fast-paced clinical situations

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RNs; diploma or accredited program for LPNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Excellent patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Competence in medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with safe infection control and wound care principles
• Clear, empathetic communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Strong time management, prioritization, and teamwork abilities
