Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and X-ray exams with attention to patient safety and comfort
• Operate CT scanners and execute CT post-processing for clear, diagnostic images
• Rapidly and accurately image stroke patients to support urgent clinical decision-making
• Document exams and upload images into PACS and Meditech in a timely, precise manner
• Collaborate with ED staff and radiologists to prioritize emergent cases
• Maintain equipment and troubleshoot basic issues, escalating when needed
• Provide professional, empathic patient interactions that enhance the patient experience

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) certification required (ARRT CT preferred or CT credentials as applicable)
• Current CPR certification required
• Minimum of 1-2 years of CT/radiology experience preferred (job lists 2 years experience)
• Proven experience with CT post-processing and stroke CT protocols
• Comfortable working night/overnight shifts in an emergency/ED setting
• Ability to use PACS and documentation systems (Meditech, GE Centricity PACS)

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program
• ARRT (R) certification required
• Current CPR certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in CT imaging and X-ray techniques
• Strong CT post-processing capabilities and image optimization
• Familiarity with PACS workflows and Meditech documentation
• Experience with GE Tempo, GE Maxima CT systems and AMX equipment
• Knowledge of stroke imaging protocols and emergent imaging priorities
• Good communication, triage judgment, and teamwork in fast-paced ED environments
