Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting daily living activities
Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility and transfers while promoting dignity
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
Support mealtime assistance and ensure residents receive their dietary needs
Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

GNA certification or equivalent (required)
Current state registration or listing as applicable for Geriatric Nursing Assistants
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Previous experience in long term care, rehab, or geriatric settings is a plus
Strong communication skills and a warm, patient-centered approach
Ability to follow care plans and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Completed GNA training program or equivalent certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of activities of daily living and geriatric care principles
Basic clinical skills including vital sign collection and resident observation
Familiarity with safety and infection control best practices
Good documentation and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents, families and staff
