Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the Mercy LIFE program
- Administer medications and follow physician orders safely and accurately
- Perform routine assessments, take vital signs, and report clinical changes promptly
- Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to ensure high-quality care
- Maintain accurate license and certification verifications and comply with required health screenings
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and families to support resident-centered care
Qualifications
- Current LPN license in good standing (required)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist (required as part of onboarding)
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings per employer policy (PPD/IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Successful completion of Trinity 10 panel drug screen and background verification
- Comfortable working in a per diem pool with variable schedules
Education
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
- Active LPN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong foundational nursing skills in medication administration and basic assessments
- Infection control practices and adherence to vaccine and screening protocols
- Ability to follow competency checklists and facility-specific procedures
- Clear communication and teamwork with clinical staff and leadership
- Detail-oriented documentation and timely reporting of resident condition changes
