Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Support safe transfers and ambulation while using proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, respectful environment and follow infection control practices
- Document care and observations clearly to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to create a positive resident experience
Qualifications
- Certified GNA in good standing (GNA certification required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work overnight shifts
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude toward residents
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care and resident dignity principles
- Ability to perform safe transfers and use mobility aids
- Familiarity with documentation and reporting best practices
- Teamwork mindset and ability to follow clinical directions
- Attention to detail for safety, infection control, and medication observation
