Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to med-surg telemetry patients, monitoring cardiac status and responding to changes
• Manage telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms to detect and escalate abnormalities quickly
• Administer medications, operate unit equipment (Alaris pumps, Dinamaps, bladder scanners, Atrium chest tube systems) and ensure safe documentation in Sunrise EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized patient care plans
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans to support positive outcomes
• Maintain accurate, timely charting and handoffs to ensure continuity of care across shifts
• Work reliably every other weekend and support unit staffing needs, including floating to med-surg telemetry units

Qualifications

• Active RN license (eligible to practice in New Hampshire)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Telemetry competence and recent telemetry experience (required)
• Comfortable with med-surg telemetry patient populations including vascular and bariatric patients
• Ability to safely operate common unit equipment and document in Sunrise EMR
• Team-player attitude, reliability for night shifts and every-other-weekend coverage

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and active RN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Familiarity with Sunrise EMR for documentation and orders
• Experience with Alaris infusion pumps, Dinamaps, bladder scanners and chest tube drainage systems
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking and prioritization skills for moderate-acuity patients
• Clear communication and teamwork skills for fast-paced med-surg telemetry care
• Ability to manage patient ratios typical for the unit (1:4-5 days, 1:5 nights)
