Location: Redding, California

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with options for 10-hour and 12-hour shifts; mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment is ready for procedures
Assist surgeons during a wide range of cases including ortho, general, vascular, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma
Collaborate closely with the OR team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Maintain sterile technique and support CVOR procedures such as CABG, valve replacements, and lead extractions
Respond to call coverage for weeknights and occasional weekends to keep cases moving smoothly

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine procedures
Comfortable working with Cerner Surginet and Phillips Telemetry systems
Ability to take 1-2 weeknight calls per week and approximately one weekend call per month

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with Cerner Surginet documentation
Familiar with Phillips Telemetry monitoring
Skilled in total joints, general, vascular, and spine cases
Strong sterile technique and OR workflow knowledge
