Shift Type: Monday-Friday, varied shifts with on-call required

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in surgical procedures within the Cardiovascular Operating Room
Prepare and maintain sterile field and surgical instruments
Ensure proper handling of specimens and equipment
Collaborate with surgeons and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols
Participate in ongoing training and continuing education

Qualifications

Current CST certification required
BLS certification from AHA
Experience in CVOR or surgical tech role preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile techniques
Understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and procedures
Ability to anticipate surgeon needs
Proficiency in maintaining a sterile field
Strong organizational and time management skills
