Location: Bismarck, ND

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, with call requirements 3-4 weeknights 3:15 PM - 6:45 AM and every other to every third weekend Friday 3:15 PM - Monday 6:45 AM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $52 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain the operating room for CVOR procedures including open hearts, CABG, valves, aneurysms, and thoracic/vascular cases
First scrub assisting surgeons during complex cardiac and thoracic surgeries
Set up and operate specialized equipment such as Stryker towers, Impella 5.5, and ECMO
Cross-train into general OR specialties when CV volumes are low
Participate in call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage for emergent cases
Collaborate with a close-knit team in a family-oriented department

Qualifications

At least 2 years of CVOR experience with open hearts, CABG, and valves
Must be able to first scrub independently
Willingness to cross-train to other OR specialties and float as a 1:1 sitter as needed
Comfortable with call response time of 15 minutes and availability for rotating holidays
Experience with thoracic and vascular cases preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in CVOR procedures including open heart surgery and scrub techniques
Certifications: BLS, CST or NCCT, ND UAP
Knowledge of robotic cases, ION, and Stryker towers
Ability to adapt to varying case volumes and cross-train effectively
