Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating weekends and holidays with on-call, 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM, open to 4 10-hour shifts or 3 12-hour shifts

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $28 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are ready for procedures
Assist surgeons during a variety of cases including open hearts, medical, and orthopedic surgeries
Maintain sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout each case
Collaborate with a busy OR department using EPIC documentation system
Participate in on-call rotation to support emergency and after-hours procedures

Qualifications

2 years of experience in a busy OR department required
Current BLS certification
DCI/BVP certification
EPIC experience strongly preferred
Ability to take call one night every 2 weeks and one weekend every 6 weeks

Knowledge & Skills

Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation
Familiarity with open heart, orthopedic, and general surgical procedures
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
