Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to surgical oncology patients on a 34-bed unit
Monitor patients using GE Telemetry and Welch Allyn vital signs equipment
Administer chemotherapy treatments when certified, ensuring patient safety and comfort
Collaborate with charge nurses, PCTs, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
Document care accurately in MediTech EMR and communicate changes promptly
Support patients and families through education and emotional support during treatment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Texas or compact license
BLS certification required
At least 1 year of Med/Surg nursing experience
Chemotherapy certification and ACLS are highly preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong telemetry monitoring and assessment skills
Comfortable with chemotherapy administration protocols
Proficient with MediTech electronic medical records
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Outgoing, patient-focused attitude that thrives in a collaborative culture
