Shift Type: 4x10s, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Variable/Flexible

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare patients for surgical procedures with compassion and attention to detail
Provide expert Phase II recovery care ensuring safe discharge planning
Administer pain blocks alongside anesthesia teams for optimal patient comfort
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to deliver seamless care
Float between Pre-Op, Day Surgery, and Phase II Recovery units as needed

Qualifications

Active Texas RN License (temporary licenses not accepted)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of hospital or travel experience in Pre-Op and Phase II recovery
Strong IV skills and familiarity with Meditech documentation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Pre-Op and Phase II Surgical Discharge expertise
PACU experience highly valued
Proficient with Meditech electronic health records
Comfortable floating across multiple surgical units
