Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with intermediate care needs
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Educate patients and families on health conditions and post-discharge care
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate as needed
Document patient assessments and interventions accurately

Qualifications

At least 1 year of recent PCU or step-down nursing experience
Active Texas RN license or compact license (NLC)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

Proficiency in cardiac monitoring and interpretation
Experience with central lines, drips, and telemetry
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent patient assessment and prioritization skills
