Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts available (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with every other weekend rotation

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and PCU patients in a fast-paced, mixed unit
Administer chemotherapy and manage complex drips like heparin and cardizem
Monitor and assess patients, including ventilator and hemodynamic monitoring
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining high standards of care
Engage in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and oncology experience
Chemotherapy certification required (CHEMO CERT REQUIRED)
First-time travelers welcome
ACLS and BLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC certification preferred
EPIC experience within 6 months preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in oncology and PCU patient care
Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
Competence in managing ventilators and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
Ability to titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Adaptability to float to different units and levels of care
