Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to oncology, PCU, and med-surg patients in a 27-bed unit
• Monitor and titrate drips such as heparin, cardizem, and insulin; administer chemotherapy
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, and social workers
• Float to med-surg and PCU units as needed, maintaining same level of care
• Perform hourly rounding and ensure patient experience excellence
• Operate specialized equipment including ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and Alaris IV pumps
• Act as charge nurse with minimum 1 year experience, guiding and supporting the team

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience in PCU, oncology, or med-surg
• First-time travelers welcome! Previous travel experience not required
• Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• EPIC experience preferred but not mandatory
• Must reside outside 50 miles from Omaha (verified via driver's license)
• Willingness to pass an open-book exam during orientation (90% required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in EPIC EMR
• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, A-line, Swan, EV-1000)
• Strong titration skills for heparin, cardizem, and insulin drips
• Oncology patient care from diagnosis to end-of-life
• Team player with a positive attitude and genuine compassion for patients
