Ultrasound Technologist - General/Vascular/Echo

Location: Waimea, HI

Start Date: 06-15-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating day and night shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage (must be flexible)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality General, Vascular, and Echocardiography studies
Work independently in a rural hospital setting
Collaborate with a close-knit healthcare team to provide excellent patient care
Maintain flexible availability including weekends, holidays, and on-call duties
Travel between two hospital locations (KVMH and SMMH) as needed

Qualifications

Active ARDMS certification in General, Vascular, and Echocardiography (all three required)
Minimum 3 years of experience in General, Vascular, and Echo
Current BLS/BCLS certification
ARRT(CT) certification preferred
Ability to work independently and in a team
Must reside within 20 minutes of the hospital when on-call

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in General Ultrasound, Vascular Ultrasound, and Echocardiography
Proficient in operating ultrasound equipment and obtaining diagnostic images
Strong communication and patient interaction skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced rural environment
Flexibility to adapt to varying shift schedules and on-call duties
