Contract Type: Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (occasional weekends as needed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $74 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive clinical social work services to patients and families in a hospital setting
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop discharge plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
- Provide crisis intervention and support for patients undergoing involuntary psychiatric holds (5150)
- Advocate for patient rights and access to community resources
Qualifications
- Active California LCSW license required
- Current BLS certification
- Must be 5150 certified in California (or able to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred
Education
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of California mental health laws and 5150 procedures
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Familiarity with community resources and discharge planning
