Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekend and holiday rotations scheduled every 6 weeks

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and interpret telemetry for cardiac and stroke patients
Titrate IV drips including heparin, insulin, and octreotide
Collaborate with charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to manage high patient turnover
Provide compassionate care to adults with medical-surgical and cardiac conditions
Respond to rapid response and code situations using available equipment like LUCAS machines

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required at time of start
Ability to pass an open-book orientation exam with 90% score
Minimum 1 year of PCU or telemetry experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in telemetry interpretation and identification of arrhythmias
Skilled in titration of cardiac and maintenance drips
Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity unit with frequent admissions and discharges
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with support staff
