Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to a mixed unit of PCU, Med/Surg, and Oncology patients
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions in our oncology population
• Titrate drips such as insulin and cardizem as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and educators
• Float to Med/Surg and PCU units within your skill set
• Perform hourly rounding to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
• Document thoroughly in EPIC and maintain accurate patient records

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent PCU, Med/Surg, or Oncology experience
• Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state (license must be in hand at submission)
• Current BLS and ACLS from AHA required
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
• Driver's license required (will be used to verify distance)
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply!
• Must receive a 90% on the open-book skills exam during orientation (resources provided)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records
• Comfort with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring (CVP, Aline, Swan, EV-1000)
• Strong patient education and communication skills
• Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to help others
• Ability to adapt to a culturally diverse patient population
