Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), every 3rd weekend, 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates in a Level 4 NICU
Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with neonatologists and midlevels
Perform Foley catheter insertions and central line dressing changes as part of SIMs lab competencies
Triage and manage a diverse patient population including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO, and cooling therapy
Float to mother-baby and labor care (babies only) as needed
Support charge nurse duties and serve as a resource for high-risk situations

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience (2 years of Level 4 required, will screen busy Level 3)
Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and NRP certifications required; Cardiac STABLE certification strongly preferred
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
Strong understanding of sterile technique and ability to pass SIMs lab on day 1

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in Cerner EMR
Knowledge of Phillips telemetry monitoring
Experience with ventilators (RT managed) and NICU-specific equipment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
