Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity care to adults and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses
• Titrate critical drips like Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications with confidence
• Monitor continuous EEG and telemetry, responding quickly to changes
• Collaborate with charge nurses and techs to maintain a patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing that makes a real difference

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Nebraska (or compact state) – we need you to hit the ground running
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from AHA or equivalent
• At least 1 year of recent PCU or step-down experience preferred
• Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation
• Driver's license required to verify residency outside 50-mile radius

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in titrating and managing continuous IV infusions
• Excellent communication and teamwork – positive attitude is a must
• Ability to prioritize and adapt quickly to changing patient needs
• Comfortable with floating to different units and supporting colleagues
