Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 36 hours per week, every 3rd weekend and 3 of 6 major holidays

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide critical care to neonates in a Level 4 NICU, including premature infants, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical cases, ECMO, and cooling therapy
Monitor and manage ventilators in collaboration with respiratory therapy
Maintain sterile field during central line dressing changes and Foley catheter insertions
Collaborate with neonatologists, midlevels, and a multidisciplinary team 24/7
Float to mother-baby and labor care as needed for baby assignments
Utilize Cerner EMR and Phillips telemetry systems to document and track patient status

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of Level 4 NICU experience required
Previous travel experience preferred
Active BLS and NRP certifications required
Cardiac STABLE certification required
Must live 50+ miles from facility (driver's license is source of truth)
Comfortable with sterile technique and pass/fail SIMs lab skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in NICU care for high-acuity neonates
Proficiency with Cerner EMR and Philips telemetry
Strong understanding of sterile field maintenance
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, 71-bed unit
Knowledge of ECMO, cooling protocols, and cardiac monitoring
