Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care to oncology, PCU, and med/surg patients
• Administer chemotherapy and monitor for adverse reactions
• Titrate IV drips such as insulin and cardizem as ordered
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including PT, OT, social work, and dieticians
• Float to med/surg and PCU units within the same level of care when needed
• Perform hourly rounding and ensure excellent patient experience
• Document accurately in EPIC electronic medical records

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU and/or oncology nursing experience
• Current RN license in Nebraska or compact state
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• EPIC experience strongly preferred
• Valid driver's license to verify 50-mile radius rule
• Willingness to adhere to facility policies including artificial nail prohibition

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for PCU and oncology patients
• Proficiency in chemotherapy administration and infusion pump programming
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, and Swan-Ganz
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment
• Patient education and family support skills
