Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 07-06-2026

End Date: 10-05-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating shifts (Days: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, Nights: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM), including every other weekend and every third holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes conditions
Monitor and manage continuous EEG monitoring and titrate drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to maintain a 1:4-5 nurse-to-patient ratio
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain a positive attitude and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Valid driver's license (for radius rule verification)
Must pass a pass/fail open-book exam on skills during orientation (90% required)
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to titrate intravenous drips
Experience with cardiac monitoring and stroke care
Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced unit
