Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatric patients in a fast-paced PCU environment
Monitor and manage cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes patients with continuous EEG monitoring
Titrate and manage drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Collaborate with charge nurse and patient care techs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed to support the team
Maintain a positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking skills to thrive in this dynamic unit

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Valid driver's license required for submittal
Ability to pass an open-book exam on skills during orientation (90% or higher required)
No artificial nails allowed in patient care areas

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple patients with complex conditions
Experience with titration of cardiac and neurological drips preferred
Comfortable floating to different units as needed
