Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), including every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care to oncology and trauma patients in a 28-bed PCU/MedSurg unit
Administer chemotherapy and monitor patients for adverse reactions
Titrate drips including heparin and cardizem as needed
Collaborate with charge nurse, multidisciplinary team, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Float to med/surg and PCU units as needed to maintain staffing ratios
Participate in hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS and ACLS certification
ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification required
Minimum 1 year of PCU and oncology experience
First-time travelers welcome
Valid driver's license required for radius verification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and oncology patient care
Proficient in EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to titrate IV drips and monitor hemodynamics
Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability skills
Understanding of patient rounding and customer service focus
